Estimating With Software
Many folks ask me how to estimate the cost of painting. There are so many parameters involved in estimating painting projects, such as windows, doors, molding and the like which can be very difficult. There are also factors such as prep. To aide in this there are many types of Paint Estimating Software platforms.
When estimating a paint project I always get the square footage for the purpose of knowing how much paint will be needed. From there I try to figure how long the job will take by breaking it down and thinking about each part involved. On average I charge a labor cost of 400 dollars a day plus material. So a bedroom of normal size will take what I call a day ( 6 hours) therefore costing 400 dollars plus material. To help aide in estimating larger painting projects you can use a paint estimating software which can be compared to the estimate you came up with on your own tyo see how close they are and what you might want to tweek.
Because there are many different types of Paint Estimating Software on the market, I will start listing them as I come accross them. If you know of any paint estimating software not listed please leave a comment with a link or email me and I will list them. Also, if you have used one let us know about it!
